Guidance for Individual Growth and Healing
individual therapy
Therapy provides an opportunity to look at our own selves with greater awareness, compassion, and insight. Each of us feels most alive when truly expressing ourselves in our relationships, hobbies, or passions. When disconnected from this, we experience disturbances such as anxiety, depression, conflict or self destructive patterns. The collaborative work in therapy helps to consciously create your own path of health and healing.
Individual therapy provides the opportunity to reconnect in mind, body, and spirit through a holistic approach to therapy that utilizes attachment theory, mindfulness, and emotionally focused therapy.

Nurturing Stronger Bonds
EFT couples therapy
Our relationships can be a source of deep connection and love as well as the source for disconnection and pain. Seeking couples therapy can help support communication and emotional intimacy on a deeper level for a long-term change.
connection
Some of the biggest rewards and challenges we face in life are within our intimate relationships. Longing for meaningful connection in our love relationships is a normal part of our humanity. When these relationships are struggling, we can feel in crisis or experience a sense of despair that these negative patterns are stuck.
EFT Therapy
Using EFT, couples are supported in increasing connection and improving communication that has become stagnant. Emotionally Focused Therapy involves developing new communication patterns that create warmth, understanding, and acceptance. Therapy enables couples to share their needs and discuss conflict in a way that draws their partner closer and changes long standing patterns of communication that no longer work.

Therapy for Strengthening Family Dynamics
Parent Support Therapy
Parent support is grounded in attachment therapy for new parents and parents of young children. The parent we dreamed we would be versus the parent that shows up at times when angry, tired, or overwhelmed can be disheartening. Therapy is a safe space to discuss these fears and challenges of parenting while receiving support and hands on ideas to help. These tools can assist your role as a “loving guide” to your child through understanding their needs and deepening a loving connection.

frequently asked questions
What is EFT?
Emotionally Focused Therapy or EFT is an empirically validated type of therapy pioneered by Dr. Sue Johnson. The therapy is based on attachment theory to support marital distress and adult love relationships. Interventions are used to address underlying emotions that lead to recurring patterns of conflict. According to the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT: iceeft.com), there is a substantial body of EFT research outcome studies that find 70-75% of couples who complete EFT therapy move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.
Will my insurance cover my therapy appointment?
I do not accept any insurance in my practice. This is what is referred to as a “fee-for-service-practice.” That said, there are some insurance plans that reimburse some portion of the fee for treatment by an out-of-network provider. I suggest that you check with your insurance plan to see if that applies to you. For additional information, please visit our policies page.
What is your cancellation policy?
Since I reserve the time you’ve set for your appointment, I require a 24 hour cancellation notice. If you do not cancel within 24 hours of the time of your scheduled appointment, you will be responsible for full payment. Insurance companies do not reimburse for canceled appointments. Thank you in advance for respecting this policy. For additional terms and policies, please view our policies page.
